About this place
An island group in Harima-nada off Himeji, Hyogo, made up of as many as 44 islands large and small. It can be reached by boat in about 30 minutes from Himeji Port and is designated part of the Seto Inland Sea National Park. It has long prospered as a hub of fishing and shipping, and because cars cannot be taken over, you use the parking lots around Himeji Port and cross by boat.
