A museum in Kobe, the first public museum in Japan devoted to clothing.
About this place
Kobe Fashion Museum is Japan's first museum themed on fashion. It opened in 1997 on Rokko Island, an artificial island city in Higashinada Ward, Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture. Its exterior has an innovative design reminiscent of a UFO. Inside, it is a large-scale museum facility with four floors and a total floor area of 17,000 m2. It presents unique exhibitions that capture fashion from various perspectives.
