About this place
Chirihama Nagisa Driveway is a tourist road about 8 kilometers long on the sandy beach from Imahama, Hodatsushimizu, Hakui District, Ishikawa Prefecture, to Chirihama-cho, Hakui, in the same prefecture, and it also serves as the bathing beaches of Chirihama, part of Imahama, and Dehama. It is the only road in Japan where ordinary cars and buses can drive along the water's edge of a sandy beach on the coastline. It is a sandy beach road on the Chirihama coast, 8 km long between Chirihama IC and Imahama IC on the Noto Satoyama Kaido, and is open for the purpose of sightseeing.
