About this place
A cape and lighthouse in Suzu, Ishikawa Prefecture, at the tip of the Noto Peninsula where the Sotoura and Uchiura coasts meet. A white lighthouse built in the Meiji era to a Japanese design, it is known for letting you see both the sunrise from the sea and the sunset into the sea from the same place. It is unmanned so the inside cannot be toured, but it opens to the public several times a year; it was certified among the 50 Lighthouses of Japan in 1998, as a Modernization Industrial Heritage in 2009 and as a Lighthouse for Lovers in 2017.
