About this place
A bench more than 460 m long on Masuhogaura Beach in Shika. In 1989 (Heisei 1) it was listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the world's longest bench. In 1987 (Showa 62) a total of 830 volunteers built it out of local residents' wish for people to see the sun setting into the Sea of Japan.
