About this place
A downtown area of Kanazawa. A traffic hub since the castle town was formed, it is lively as a shopping district lined with department stores, hotels and fashion buildings through redevelopment. The place name derives from a priest official of Mt. Hiei who settled here. It can be reached by route bus from the east exit of Kanazawa Station.
