Katamachi is a place name in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, and an entertainment district. The current administrative place names are 1-chome Katamachi and 2-chome Katamachi. The postal code is 920-0981. Katamachi refers to the area where National Route 157 runs north to south, from Korinbo to Saigawa Ohashi Bridge. Together with the adjoining Korinbo and Tatemachi, it forms Kanazawa's central urban area. It is Kanazawa's largest entertainment district, with many restaurants, bars and clubs lined up side by side.
