Overview
Walk the market in the quiet of morning, before the queues of midday.
About this place
Omicho Market, called the kitchen of the people of Kanazawa, has a history of about 300 years. There are many restaurants where you can enjoy fresh seafood, and some popular shops have lines at lunchtime. Early in the morning, many shops are still preparing and the atmosphere is quiet, unlike midday, and they serve menus such as sushi and seafood rice bowls using ingredients unique to the market. In winter you can enjoy cold-season yellowtail and snow crab.
