A motor road linking Hakusan with Shirakawa-go, passing through the special protection zone of Hakusan National Park.
About this place
Hakusan Shirakawago White Road is a toll road 33.3 kilometers long connecting Oizoe, Hakusan, Ishikawa Prefecture, and Hatotani, Shirakawa Village, Ono District, Gifu Prefecture. Its former name was Hakusan Super Rindo, and it was renamed on 1 April 2015 with a new nickname. Motorcycles are prohibited. It opened in 1977 (Showa 52). The route passes through a special zone of Hakusan National Park and is the only road for motor vehicles directly connecting Ishikawa and Gifu Prefectures.
