About this place
Shiramine Onsen is a hot spring in Hakusan, Ishikawa Prefecture (the former Kaga Province). It is a pure sodium bicarbonate spring, said to be a rare spring quality found in only four places in Japan. It feels smooth and is popularly called the silk-skin bath. In the Kuwashima and Shiramine districts there are about 10 lodging facilities and 3 facilities specializing in day-trip bathing. Some inns do not pipe hot spring water to their baths, and some issue and guide guests who wish to nearby public baths with free tickets. The facilities specializing in day-trip bathing are the following three. Kuwashima Onsen Soyu (Kuwashima) - currently closed
