About this place
Science Hills Komatsu is a museum and science museum in Komatsu no Mori, Komatsu, Ishikawa Prefecture. It is a facility built on part of the site of the Komatsu Plant of Komatsu Ltd. The building is single-story with a partial second floor, characterized by a streamlined roof, with a floor area of about 6,000 square meters. Komatsu City invested a total project cost of more than 3.4 billion yen in its construction. On 1 December 2013, the freely open part was opened as a pre-opening, and on 22 March 2014 full opening took place, including the paid science museum, the Hito to Monozukuri Science Museum (People and Manufacturing Science Museum).
