About this place
Iwate Kogen Snow Park is a ski area in Shizukuishi, Iwate District, Iwate Prefecture. It was once run by the Chisan Group and operated under the name Iwate Kogen Ski Area. After a seven-year closure, it reopened in 2004 (Heisei 16) under the management of Suzuki Shokai as a ski area under its present name. The courses are mainly rather steep, straight runs, and all courses can be reached from the gondola in the center. In recent years it has also put effort into its snow park.
