About this place
A kyudo (Japanese archery) experience at Shiratori Shrine in Matsubara, Higashikagawa, Kagawa Prefecture. It values settling mind and body by drawing the bow; you change into a hakama and take up the bow in the shrine grounds. Kyudo is a martial art also called standing Zen, and the equipment includes bamboo bows and bamboo arrows from local bowmakers, plus archery gloves made in Higashikagawa, the Town of Gloves. Hours are 10:00 to 18:00, and the fee starts from 10,000 yen.
