About this place
A shrine in Takayacho, Kannonji, Kagawa Prefecture. The torii of the main shrine, 404 m above sea level overlooking the Seto Inland Sea, has in recent years been called the Torii in the Sky and become a popular photo spot. Through the torii you can see all of Kannonji's cityscape and the Seto Inland Sea. Because the road to the main shrine is narrow, a shuttle bus runs on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, and general vehicles cannot pass during those hours.
