About this place
Angel Road is a sandbar (tombolo) in Tonosho, Shozu District, Kagawa Prefecture. It is a scenic spot. It is a narrow sandbar path of about 500 m continuing from Benten Island, which is connected by land to Maejima of Shodoshima, via Nakayojima and Koyojima floating offshore, to Oyojima (collectively Yoshima), and is also called the 'Angel's Promenade.' With the ebb and flow of the tide the path appears or disappears into the sea, and Nakayojima can be reached only at low tide twice a day (a tidal island).
