About this place
A soy sauce making memorial museum in Naobacho, Shodoshima. The gassho-zukuri building, a nationally registered tangible cultural property, is open to the public, and old tools and panels introduce the history and methods of soy sauce making. The tunnel in the passage is hollowed out of a large barrel that was actually used. In the neighboring factory you can watch the soy sauce being pressed through glass, and admission is 500 yen for adults and 250 yen for children.
