About this place
Yokogurayama is a mountain with an elevation of 775 m in Ochi, Kochi Prefecture, in the southern Shikoku Mountains. Among the 'Shikoku Mountains,' which have many peaks above 1,500 m, it cannot be called a high mountain, but it is a mountain with various features such as a long history, diverse vegetation and unique geology. Because of the vegetation and geological value of this mountain and its surroundings, Kochi Prefecture designated it 'Yokogurayama Prefectural Natural Park' in 1956 (Showa 31).
