A shop in Tosashimizu founded in 1912, where the shed for making sodabushi can be toured.
About this place
A tour and experience at the Fushi-naya, the soda bonito production house of Takemasa Shoten, founded in 1912 (Taisho 1). You can see up close the soda bonito made by traditional handwork, and on sunny days the scene of sun-drying. There are also experiences of shaving soda bonito with a bonito shaver and of shaping soda bonito with a small knife to make an original umami soy sauce bottle.
