The Ishinomaki Kawabiraki Festival is a festival held every year on August 1 and 2 in Ishinomaki, Miyagi Prefecture. It is a festival held to praise the great achievement of Magobei Kawamura, who in the Edo period renovated the mouth of the Kitakami River and laid the foundation for Ishinomaki's development, and to hold memorial services for the spirits of those who died in maritime and water accidents.
