About this place
A building in Iwadeyama, Osaki. In the Edo period it became a place of learning for the sons of retainers of the Iwadeyama Date family, and the main house and annexes convey their appearance today. The garden is said to have been designed by Shimizu Dokan of the Sekishu school, and is a strolling pond garden with islands in the pond, borrowing the cliff of the Iwadeyama Castle main enclosure as scenery. Admission: adults 300 yen.
