About this place
A local dish of Yamamoto and Watari in Miyagi, an old dish alongside harako meshi. Surf clams caught off the coast of the prefecture from winter to spring are simmered in a special soy-based sauce, and rice is cooked in that liquid. Depending on the shop, two to three clams' worth are served.
