About this place
Chacha World Ishikoshi is an amusement park in Tome, Miyagi Prefecture. It was developed by the former town of Ishikoshi to revitalize the town, and opened on 29 April 1995 (Heisei 7). The site of Chacha World Ishikoshi was originally satoyama (woodland near farmland). In the adjoining area there was a town forest called Takamori Park, but it was left undeveloped and was little more than a park used as a rest stop for company vehicles. When nearby residents planted several dozen hydrangeas in this bleak Takamori Park, they adapted to the land and grew well.
