About this place
A shrine on Aoshima in Miyazaki. Said to have the whole island as its grounds, with the shrine in the center of the island, you cross Yayoi Bridge to worship. The setting of the Umisachihiko and Yamasachihiko myth, it is said to be where Yamasachihiko and Toyotamahime were united, and is said to bring benefits for matchmaking. There are heart-shaped ema plaques, love fortunes and Musubi Koyori, in which a wish is tied with a paper cord to the Meoto Biro palms.
