Overview
A pass in Miyazaki City, over the Nichinan coast with its washboard rock.
About this place
A pass in Miyazaki Prefecture, located where National Route 220 heads south from central Miyazaki City, goes through the mountains of Prefectural Route 377 and comes out along the coast. A landscape of tropical-feeling phoenix palm trees, blue sea and blue sky spreads out, regarded as a scene symbolizing Miyazaki City. Looking down at the sea from along the coast you can see the strange rock formation called the Devil's Washboard, and at the nearby Michi-no-Eki Phoenix you can enjoy soft serve ice cream and local gourmet food.
