Miyazaki Airport (English: Miyazaki Airport, IATA: KMI, ICAO: RJFM) is an airport located at Oaza Akae, Miyazaki, Miyazaki Prefecture. Its nickname is Miyazaki Bougainvillea Airport. It is in the coastal area in the southern part of Miyazaki. The distance from the center of the city is about 5 km. In 1996, a connecting railway (JR Miyazaki Airport Line) was connected to the terminal building. Miyazaki city center is directly accessible both by Miyazaki Kotsu route buses and by JR Kyushu trains.
