Overview
A waterfall in Gokase, dropping into a great hollow in the forest.
About this place
A waterfall with a drop of 20 m on the Mikasho River, a tributary of the Gokase River in Gokase, Miyazaki Prefecture. It has a wide falls basin of 5,000 square meters, surrounded by strange columnar-jointed rocks. Going down the trail in the Mikasho Iwagami district into the forest for about 10 minutes, you reach the falls basin, and from the lookout on the opposite bank you can view the basin and the falls.
