A swimming beach in Nobeoka, Miyazaki Prefecture. The offshore island Shimanoura floats in front and serves as a natural breakwater. It was selected as the only Special Selection in Kyushu among the Ministry of the Environment's 100 Best Swimming Beaches, and the adjacent Michi-no-Eki Kitaura has dining and rest facilities, cabins and an auto campsite, and from April to October a beach seine experience is also available.
