Overview
A pond in Ebino, filled by springs from the Kirishima range, its water clear.
About this place
A spring pond at the foot of the mountains in the Tashiro district of the Iino area in northeast Ebino. Its name is said to come from the Ito clan setting up camp here during a battle between the Shimazu and Ito clans. There are two ponds, large and small, with water clear enough to see the bottom. On clear days an emerald green surface can be seen, and in spring cherry blossoms are reflected on the water.
