About this place
A plateau at 1,200 m above sea level spreading south of Ebino, Miyazaki Prefecture, in the northern part of Kirishima-Kinkowan National Park. Surrounded by Mt. Karakuni and Mt. Koshiki and others, crater lakes such as Byakushiike, Rokkannon Mi-ike and Fudoike are scattered about. You can see wild crabapple and Miyama Kirishima azaleas from spring to summer, pampas grass and autumn leaves in autumn, and rime ice in winter.
