About this place
A gorge in Mimata, along Prefectural Route 33 heading from Miyakonojo toward Nichinan. About 10 km long, it continues from Midarebuchi (Oyae district) to Yagabuchi (Kajiyama district) and is designated as Wanizuka Prefectural Natural Park. Going down the stairs from the parking lot, you can see a waterfall right away, and you can walk the trail. In the autumn leaf season it is illuminated, and 14 kappa objects made by a potter are scattered about.
