About this place
Tenkaiho is an observation park in Shimofunakoshicho, Sasebo, Nagasaki Prefecture. It is a relatively new tourist spot, development of which began in 1981 (Showa 56). Located in the middle of the Tawaragaura Peninsula, which juts out to the west of central Sasebo, and because the land is hard to reach by transport, particular care is taken in welcoming visitors who come by private car. Via an access road from the prefectural road, a parking lot holding 70 cars has been provided. A shop and toilets are also installed.
