About this place
A trading post in Saikata, Hirado. A building from the period when Japan-Netherlands exchange flourished most, built before Dejima. The warehouse built in 1639 is regarded as the first Western-style stone building in Japan, and the present Hirado Dutch Trading Post, opened in 2011, is its reconstruction. Historical materials and trade goods related to trade at the time are on display.
