Overview
A view in Hirado in which temple roofs and a church spire fall within one frame.
About this place
A representative landscape of Hirado, Nagasaki Prefecture. Hirado Xavier Memorial Church stands on high ground, surrounded by temples, creating a space where West and East meet. Climbing the cobbled slope from the coastal road, you see the church's green spire and cross, and below it the tiled roofs of Shosoji, Komyoji and Zuiunji lined up.
