Overview
A steam field in Unzen, where a path runs among the white plumes.
About this place
The Jigoku hot springs in Unzen, Nagasaki Prefecture, a representative tourist attraction of Unzen Onsen. Made up of more than 30 hells, such as Daikyokan Jigoku, Oito Jigoku and Seishichi Jigoku, the hell tour, a walk along a trail where steam blows up from vents, takes about 60 minutes. Renewed in autumn 2016, it has a foot-steaming rest area and Unzen Jigoku Kobo, which sells hot spring eggs steamed in the steam of the hells.
