Overview
A hot spring in Unzen, within the area designated in 1934 as Japan's first national park.
About this place
A hot spring in Unzen, Nagasaki Prefecture. In three zones, Furuyu, Shinyu and Kojigoku, everything from luxury hotels to public baths stands side by side. The view from Nita Pass, running from Mt. Myoken to Mt. Nodake, is the highlight, showing four seasons of beauty with azaleas in spring, autumn leaves in fall and rime ice in winter. In 1934 (Showa 9) it was designated Japan's first national park.
