About this place
A shrine in Mizuho, Unzen, Nagasaki Prefecture, affectionately known locally as Iwato-san. Located in a water-source forest surrounded by giant trees such as cypress and cedar more than 300 years old, its sacred object is a cave said to have been inhabited by Jomon people.
