About this place
An experience at Hochiin, an old Tendai temple in the Shimizu district of Ogi, Saga Prefecture. Climbing about 200 steps from the Nio gate, you reach Hochiin, which was the Nabeshima family's prayer site, and after a Buddhist talk by the 24th chief priest you can try sutra copying and waterfall training.
Reservation: Required (contact the head priest's mobile phone)
Even with an advance reservation, the experience may not be possible on the day for various reasons. For waterfall training, you will enter the waterfall together with the head priest under his guidance. Please bring your own towel, change of clothes, etc.
