About this place
A maple forest on the mid-slope of Mt. Sarei in Karatsu. Built over about 40 years, it has fresh green in spring and more than 10,000 maples turning color in autumn. At Fuyu Sanso on the grounds, the surrounding scenery is reflected on lacquered tables. In the forest are a 15-minute short walking course and a 30-minute long course.
