About this place
Mikaeri no Taki is a waterfall in Tenzan Prefectural Natural Park in Ouchi-cho, Karatsu, Saga Prefecture. Selected for Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls. It is on the Sa-Igisa River, a tributary of the Matsuura River. In 1979 (Showa 54), the Igisa River Dam was built just upstream of the falls, so the falls are narrower than before it was built. On the right bank there are Fudoson, Eleven-Headed Kannon and Jizoson, and just downstream the Shibuki Bridge and Ajisai Bridge span the river.
