Overview
A sea cave in Shimoda. Light falls through the collapsed roof, and from above the opening looks like a heart.
About this place
A sea cave in Ushibuse, Shimoda. Eroded by waves, part of the cave ceiling has collapsed, opening a large skylight about 50 m in diameter. You can see up close the yellow-brown strata formed by piled-up ejecta from a submarine volcano. Looking down from the promenade, the skylight looks heart-shaped, and it is also talked about as a power spot for matchmaking.
