Shizunami Swimming Beach in Shizuoka Prefecture is a swimming beach known nationwide, with shallow water, moderate waves and good water quality. It is lively in summer with families and groups of friends, and because swells arrive year round it is also known as a holy land of surfing. Nearby is Shizunami Surf Stadium PerfectSwell, a facility incorporating wave-making technology.
