Overview
A dam in Hamamatsu, completed in 1956 and then among the largest in Japan.
About this place
A huge dam that holds back the Tenryu River. A 150 m wall appears amid the mountains, and from the observation deck you can see the lake surface and the surrounding cliffs. The attached Sakuma Electric Power Hall introduces the history of the difficult construction. You can also see fresh green in early summer and autumn leaves, and it is a spot visited by drive.
