About this place
Two oden districts with a retro Showa atmosphere in Tokiwa-cho, Aoi Ward, Shizuoka. Aoba Yokocho has shops lined along a narrow alley between buildings, and Aoba Oden-gai, with strings of red lanterns, retains the look of a stall district; small shops of a few tsubo line up. The specialty Shizuoka oden is characterized by skewered black hanpen and very dark broth, eaten with dashi powder and aonori.
