About this place
The Ichinomiya of Izu Province in Omiya-cho, Mishima, Shizuoka Prefecture. Because Minamoto no Yoritomo prayed here for the revival of the Genji and achieved his great wish, it is known as a shrine of victory and good fortune. The enshrined deities are two, Oyamatsumi-no-Mikoto and Tsumiha Yae Kotoshironushi-no-Kami; the main hall, made entirely of plain zelkova wood, is an Important Cultural Property, and there are the National Treasure Ume Maki-e Tebako dedicated by Hojo Masako and a fragrant olive tree more than 1,200 years old. The specialty is the auspicious rice cake Fukutaro.
