A shrine in Mori town with over 1,450 years of history and a long cedar-lined approach.
About this place
A shrine in Ichinomiya, Mori, Shizuoka Prefecture. With a history of more than 1,400 years as the guardian deity of Totomi Province, it was also worshipped by Takeda Shingen and Tokugawa Ieyasu. Cherry blossoms in spring, irises in early summer and a thousand maples along the Miya River in autumn adorn the grounds. There is the sacred tree Hyo no Ki, whose two branches are joined into one, and at Kotomachi Yokocho in front of the torii you can enjoy warabi mochi and Shizuoka tea sweets.
