Overview
A roadside station in Shimada, where you can watch the Oigawa Railway's steam trains from the open-air bath.
About this place
A roadside station on the bank of the Oi River. Known as a hot spring where you can see steam locomotives crossing the Oigawa Railway iron bridge from the open-air bath, all tubs use free-flowing source water without dilution or recirculation. There are open-air rock and cypress baths and a Bade Zone where you bathe in swimwear. The main component is fossil water about 20,000 years old, and salt ramen made with salt boiled down from the hot spring water is popular. You can stay in cottages with a hot spring in every room.
