A 470-metre mountain on the border of Shizuoka City and Yaizu, taking in Mount Fuji and Suruga Bay at once.
About this place
Mankanho is a mountain 470 m high straddling Suruga Ward, Shizuoka, and Yaizu, Shizuoka Prefecture. At the summit there is an observation park with a rest house, tables and benches. From the summit, views spread out of the Southern Alps, Mount Fuji, Shizuoka's urban area, Nihondaira, the Izu Peninsula, Suruga Bay, Takakusa-yama and Omaezaki. Near Mankan Pass is the Mankanho Course, one of the bypass courses of the Tokai Nature Trail, with a developed hiking course. The south face and elsewhere are used for tea fields.
