About this place
Hanamigata Cemetery is a large naturally formed cemetery in Kotoura, Tohaku District, Tottori Prefecture. About 20,000 graves line the coast over about 350 meters east to west, said to be one of the largest in western Japan.
The 3-meter 'Akasaki Pagoda' within the site is a pagoda of a rare style found only around Akasaki, dating from the end of the Kamakura period.
