About this place
Nagato Yumoto Onsen is a hot spring resort in Nagato, northern Yamaguchi Prefecture (formerly Nagato Province). It is counted as one of the 'Bocho Four Springs,' regarded as representative hot springs of Yamaguchi Prefecture. The formal name of Nagato Yumoto Onsen is 'Yumoto Onsen' without 'Nagato' prefixed. For example, it is listed as 'Yumoto (Onsen)' in the 'Zenkoku Onsen Daijiten' and the 'Teikoku Shoin Atlas.' However, the official website and the Nagato City Tourism and Convention Association (general incorporated association) present it as 'Nagato Yumoto Onsen.'
