About this place Akiyoshidai Safari Land is a safari-park-style zoo and amusement park in Mito-cho, Mine, Yamaguchi Prefecture.
Opened in 1977 (Showa 52). It is operated by the Tanaka Hotel Group, which runs hotel businesses across Yamaguchi Prefecture, centered on Yuda Onsen. Although privately run, there is also a move to make effective use of it as a tourism resource of Mito-cho, such as selling set admission tickets with the nearby Taisho-do and Kagekiyo-do caves.
